Didn't think I'd love this machine, but I do!
When I received this yogurt maker a few months ago, I didn't think I'd like it. But I was so wrong! I'm finding that I use this machine several times a week to make regular yogurt and Greek-style yogurt. The process is simple, the product is delicious, and I feel great about providing my family with a healthy food. The only criticism I have about this product is that I would have purchased the model with the timer, but even that is not a big deal. The important thing is that the machine does what it is supposed to do. Disclaimer: I received this machine to review, but this is no way negates my review. I would absolutely buy this yogurt maker!

Yogurt lovers, health conscious & lactose intolera
I was so surprised at how easy it was to make my own yogurt! I got this machine doing a product test for it thru field agent. This is definitely a money saver for people who buy lots of yogurt and also a great machine to have for the health conscious bc u know exactly what is going into Ur yogurt. Homemade is always best! And it tastes like no other! Best texture and flavor I've ever had in a Greek yogurt. On top of that I have a lactose intolerant niece who never gets to eat yogurt altho she loves it ... I was able to use ALMOND milk and make her, her very own lactose free yogurt and it was to die for! She was thrilled and it was so yummy.

Easy to use, makes perfect yogurt everytime
You can use any container to make the yogurt in. I use a glass 6 cup bowl. Its not hard to make, people overthink the instructions, heat milk in microwave to 180, then cool to 110. Add a heaping teaspoon of starter from previous batch, or freeze first batch yogurt in icecube tray and use one cube. The quality of the starter depicts the quality of the yogurt. I use Bulgarian Yogurt starter on amazon, makes perfect yogurt. You only need 1/8 tsp to one litre of milk for first batch. Then use that batch for your next batches and so on.... You can stain if you want thicker yogurt, both taste great.

A cool do it yourself yogurt machine
I was very excited to put this machine to good use as I love yogurt. I was curious to see it it would deliver, especially in terms of helping me to create a good, thick Greek yogurt. I must say it delivered. The finishing product was superb. I used regular, full fat yogurt as my starter. The yogurt had a wonderful tart taste and the consistency was great. This Definitely gave me some good yogurt to make cake with and homemade frozen yogurt with. Would highly recommend. You will enjoy the convenience of this quality product. I received this machine as a sample to test.

Simple Appearance - Wonderous Results!
I was excited when receiving the unit as a test trial, although previously making yogurt the "the old fashioned way" with cheese cloth, the resulting mixture took way too long to wait as well as inaccurate results.
When I first opened the Mykonos box, first impression was "Elementary design, no way this works!"
The instructions are simple, the process more simple. And the results? All members of my family truly believe the yogurt tastes much better then any store bought brand we have ever tried.
We prepare a new batch every week, have tinkered with the timing and mixture, based on our likes, and now enjoy and eat more healthy yogurt then ever before.
Thanks for letting us experiment! The Mykonos works exactly as described and has been one of our first kitchen appliances that won't soon be collecting dust!

Kids love it!
I bought the Dash Greek yogurt maker for Christmas for my 3 year old because my kids love Greek yogurt so much. I received this one as a sample, and it has replaced my Dash already. It makes 50% more yogurt at one time which saves us a lot of time in the long fun. I love Fage yogurt and this homemade Greek yogurt is smoother and creamier.I can't say enough about how much we love it. My only complaint is that the kids eat it all! They love using the small jars to make their own special blend! It has replaced sweets in or house and the kids are just as excited, plus we get to make it as a family. The square tray is easier to store in our refrigerator than the Dash rounded container while straining. It also fits the décor of my kitchen a bit better.

Makes good yogurt
I received this product as a sample and have been enjoying using it for about a month now. It takes a few uses to understand how to really use it since the instruction manual is a bit vague, but works well once you figure it out. It is a very simple machine - a large container, 6 small ones and then the fermenting box. You basically mix milk and a starter culture together and then pour it into the containers and let them sit. It is as easy as that. In order to make Greek yogurt though, you need to strain the milk mixture. I found this part a bit confusing. The directions say to strain the yogurt for several hours but the container with the strainer does not leave enough room between the strainer and the bottom of the container in order to let all the whey drain out. I had to use a different container in order to properly strain. Also, the directions only give you recipes for 10 cups of milk - which is a huge quantity. The problem is that the strainer isn't big enough for that much milk. I wasn't sure how to strain that much yogurt at the same time and the directions don't really explain it! Aside from these few quirks, I do enjoy the product and after a few uses find it easy. The yogurt I made tasted great. I love being able to make inexpensive organic yogurt!

Yogurt Maker
It does take some getting used to. I didn't think it was worth it because it only makes 6 cups of yogurt. It takes a long time to make, plus the electricity used, and gas to go to the store to buy a yogurt to start the process. I thought it was cheaper just to buy 6 cups of yogurt at the store. However, it does come with neat individual jars to store the yogurt in, which is nice. I also wished it came with a timer, thermometer, and freeze dried yogurt starter.
Disclaimer note: I received this product as a sample to review.
